Junior Section

Our junior section is a dynamic journey from Early Years through Primary School, purposefully designed to nurture inquisitive and values-driven individuals ready for higher studies. In Early Years, we foster resilience and collaboration through play-based, scientific exploration, building readiness for Primary School with core reading and numeracy skills. This foundation blossoms in Primary School, where students master mathematical reasoning and become fluent, critical readers through a structured literacy program. They learn to apply the scientific method hypothesizing, experimenting, and analyzing—to solve problems creatively. Thus, students graduate not merely with knowledge, but as principled, innovative thinkers, fully prepared to thrive in their future academic pursuits.

Play Group

At APSIS, our Playgroup program is intentionally designed. We are building the neural architecture for all future learning through purposeful play. Our environment is the third teacher, carefully prepared to provoke curiosity and foster independence.

Our Play-Based Curriculum Develops:

  1. Executive Function: Through routines and transitions, children learn self-regulation and cognitive flexibility.
  2. Socio-Emotional Intelligence: In our immersive play spaces, children navigate the fundamentals of relationship-building.
  3. Sensorimotor Integration: A variety of tactile and movement-based activities ensure strong mind-body connections.
  4. Emergent Literacy & Numeracy: Language and number concepts are woven organically into daily interactions and explorations.

The Outcome: A child who is not just “school-ready” but “life-ready”: resilient, inquisitive, and equipped with the inner resources to thrive in our Junior KG program and beyond. We are laying the groundwork for academic and personal success.

  2. Masters gross motor skills like hopping on one foot, climbing confidently, and pedaling a tricycle.

At APSIS, we celebrate every child’s unique journey. These milestones are a guide, and we ensure each child feels supported and successful at their own pace. We look forward to partnering with you in this incredible year of growth.

Kindergarten

At APSIS, completion of kindergarten marks a significant milestone. Your child will have transformed from an emerging learner into a confident, well-prepared student, ready to excel in Grade 1 and beyond.

  1. An Emerging Reader and Writer

On completion of kindergarten, your child is not just academically prepared but socially and emotionally equipped for the greater independence of Grade 1. They carry with them a solid foundation of skills, a love for learning, and the confidence to embrace new challenges.

We are committed to ensuring every graduate is a capable, kind, and curious learner, fully prepared for a successful educational journey.

Key strengths of this version:

  1. Clear Outcome Language: The phrase “Your child will be…” and “will be able to…” is direct and powerful.
  2. Structured for Scannability: The bolded titles (Emerging Reader, Confident Mathematical Thinker) allow parents to quickly grasp the core areas of development.
  3. Action-Oriented: It lists specific, demonstrable skills that parents can look for.
  4. Holistic: It balances academic readiness with the crucial social-emotional traits of a successful student.
  5. Forward-Looking: It explicitly ties the kindergarten outcomes to future success, which is a primary concern for parents at this stage.
